Bike trailer

Life has been busy lately and full of things to do - none of which have been sewing! It sounds a little sad but not too much. I have been playing lots with my little boy, going for walks, visiting friends, reading blogs, etc. It is quite fun. The most exciting thing I have been doing is riding my bike. I love riding my bike but haven't done so since before I was pregnant with my little boy. I have recently aquired a bike trailer, so now we can ride anywhere! It is brilliant and the boy loves it!

Stripey hoodie jacket

I know its not really cold but everyone needs a hoodie! I used the same sure fit kit to make this pattern. Mum helped me again (because she is so great!) and its now finished. I have also done an Etsy update if you wanna have a look.

But the most exciting news is two years of blogging (just gone) and 100 posts (soon). Which of course means I have to have a giveaway. Stay tuned!

More clothes sewing

I have been sewing more clothes for my little boy and today my mum came over and helped me finish them off. Its so great having my mum close, and having a mum who loves me and is still doing good things for me. I am sure every child thinks this, but I truly have the best mum ever!


We are still enjoying a break from the heat, but I am sure before too long the little boy will be enjoying these lovely cool clothes!

I invented a shirt!

My grandma had a clear out of her sewing stuff a while back and I was lucky enough to get lots of great fabric and also some sure fit designs pattern kits. At the time I wasn't sure if I would use it, but now that I have a little boy at my house who doesn't fit real sizes it has been great.


This is the shirt I invented. It fits great and is so much cooler than the t-shirts my little man has been wearing up until now. I have always found shirts a little scary, but this one was quite painless! Grandma, your my hero!
